Encino Little League Spring Ball - 2025

Encino Little League ("ELL") Spring 2025 Baseball Season

REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON DECEMBER 1, 2024.

The ELL Spring Program strives to provide the best in class Little League experience for players of all ages and abilities. We will offer programs for kids Little League ages 4-14. (See age information below.).

Please review ELL and Little League Eligibility Requirements on our website before registering your player.

Players Little League age 7 and above will be drafted onto teams by coaches in order to ensure balanced teams in these competitive divisions. Younger players will have the ability to request to play with their friends, school mates and/or coaches. We cannot guarantee requests, but do our best to accommodate where possible.

The registration fee for Spring is $485 for children ages 7-14 and $385 for children ages 5 & 6 years old. The fee for the 4 year old Wee Ball division will be $249. As a non-profit, ELL relies on our community to help us provide the best experience possible for our players. In addition to running the season, the fees are put towards field maintenance, uniforms, equipment, trophies, running the snack stands, umpires, general field operations and so much more including our Opening Night Ceremony and our community wide Mother’s Day Fireworks Event.

Registration closes at the beginning of December, but your division could fill up before that date. Each division has a max capacity and a wait list will form once we hit that number, so please register now to secure your spot for the spring season. All registrants after December 1, 2024 or after a division fills up, will be put on a wait list. Also, if you intend to volunteer as a Manager or Assistant Coach please do this promptly as the number of players and teams that we can field is dependent on the number of qualified Managers and Assistant Coaches that have signed up. You can volunteer to be a Manager and/or Assistant Coach on the website when you register your player.

VOLUNTEERS WHO WISH TO BE CONSIDERED TO MANAGE AND/OR ASSISTANT COACH A TEAM THIS SPRING MUST REGISTER TO DO SO BY NOVEMBER 13TH. In preparation for tryouts, we anticipate beginning to make coaching decisions early.

When registering please choose the appropriate age group for your child based off their birthday listed in the division. If you register your child in the wrong age group they will not get a guaranteed spot in their age group.

Games are played on Saturdays and throughout the week for ages 7-14 (AAA, Farm, Minors, Majors and Juniors divisions.). Teams in these divisions will typically have a game on Saturday and one game midweek (Monday through Friday). Weekday games usually start at 5:15pm and Saturday games run from 8am to 5pm. Little League Ages 5 & 6 (Rookie and AA divisions) will have one game per week on Saturdays. Every team will have a practice on Sunday between 8am and 5pm. The assigned practice and game times generally change from week to week. Little League Age 4 (Wee Ball division) will have a clinic or a game every Saturday for approximately 8 weeks (no Sunday practices for Wee Ball).

Please note that registration is subject to cancellation due to the number of volunteer coaches, field availability, and your player being outside of ELL boundaries, If registration is cancelled a refund will be issued.

DIVISIONS - GENERAL OVERVIEW SUBJECT TO CHANGE

ELL reserves the right to make adjustments in any division and within age groups as necessary. Factors that affect the composition of each division include total kids registered within certain age groups, proper baseball development for an individual player, or competitive parity.

Below are the proposed divisions and age breakdowns. If your child qualifies for two divisions, the player agent will decide, based on their skill level, which division they are eligible for during the tryout process. Requests to have your child play in a division above their age level will not be granted. The only instance in which a child may “play up” will be when the player agent observing tryouts recommends it usually due to safety issues. However, if you strongly believe your child should play in a division below their age level, due to safety concerns, please make sure to note this in their registration and by emailing [email protected]

It is also important to know that the Division your child plays in in Fall Season WILL NOT determine which division they play in for Spring Season. Players often play up a Division in the Fall Season but placement for the Spring Season is determined by tryouts and player selection during the Spring draft . The ELL Board has no involvement on which players are selected into which division, this is solely the decision of the coaches drafting in each division and the player agent. This means that a player may play up in a Division during the Fall but play in a lower Division for the Spring Season.

Please Note: Your child's 2025 Spring Season Little League age is whatever age that he/she is on Aug 31, 2025. More information on determining the Little League Baseball age for your player can be found HERE on the ELL website.
