The ELL Fall Ball program focuses on player development and instruction. Players are placed in age appropriate divisions. There are no tryouts. Teams are assembled by the league with the goal of competitive parity while also accommodating coach or teammate requests as much as possible and as much as practical. 

Registration closes on August 1st (or sooner if all slots fill up) . All registrants after August 1st will be put on a wait list. The age used in determining Fall Ball 2024 divisional placement is the child's league age for the 2024 spring season using the current Little League age determination in place. 

The minimum playing age for Fall Ball is league age 5, i.e., five years old on or before August 31, 2025. Little League Age rules are confusing for new parents. So as long as your 4 year old turns 5 by August 31, 2024 they can play in the fall and spring.

Games are typically played every Sunday from the end of September to middle of November. Games generally take place between 9am and 6pm during daylight saving time and earlier when daylight saving time ends. Practices typically begin 1-2 weeks before the first game depending on field availability and division. Each team is assigned field time for practices on Saturdays. Those assigned field times generally change from week to week. Whether a team utilizes the assigned Saturday time for practices or holds practices at other times and places is entirely at the discretion of each team's manager and coach. 

DIVISIONS - GENERAL OVERVIEW SUBJECT TO CHANGE ELL reserves the right to make adjustments in any division and within age groups as necessary and as dictated by total registration within certain age groups or for the benefit of baseball development or competitive parity. 

Tee Ball - ROOKIE & AA (ages 5 and 6) - This is a hybrid version of Tee Ball and underhand coach pitch. Players league age 5 who play in this division in the fall will be assigned to the separate Rookie (Tee Ball) division in the spring. To the extent the number of registrants allow, Rookie and AA may be separate divisions in the fall. 

AAA (league ages 7 and 8) - machine pitch

Farm (ages 8 and 9) - kid pitch - This division serves as an important transitional season for those moving from coach pitch to kid pitch. It also is helpful in the development of 9 year olds who had their first exposure to kid pitch during the previous spring season. IMPORTANT:  there is no guarantee that an 8 year old who plays on the Farm field will play in the Farm division in the spring. 

Minors (ages 10-11) - Occasionally, some 9 year old players with kid pitch experience will be allowed to play in Minors. IMPORTANT:  there is no guarantee that a 9 year old who plays in Minors in the Fall will play in the Minors division in the spring. 

Majors (ages 11-12) -- IMPORTANT:  there is no guarantee that an 11 year old who plays on the Major field in the fall will play in the Major division in the next spring. 

Juniors (ages 13-14) - An opportunity for players to continue to play baseball and work on their skills while transitioning to a larger baseball field.
