Encino Little League Fireworks Night & Home Run Derby Information

Please join us for our annual tradition of Fireworks Night at Encino Little League. This night is meant to celebrate all the hard-working moms who help this community thrive. For those of you new to the league, this is a community event so please feel free to invite your friends to come.
Schedule of events:
3pm - Ellyn Miller Mother's Day Home Run Derby on the Majors Field
5pm - ELL 12 year old Home Run Derby on the Majors Field
6:30pm - DJ Renald will start rocking out on the Colt field
7:30pm - Raffle - All ELL players have been entered into the raffle drawing for many great prizes
8:30pm - Fireworks!

This year, we continue to honor the memory of Ellyn Miller, a long time ELL mother (Majors Cubs Coach Andrew Miller) and grandmother (Majors Cubs player Chase Miller) who was very active in supporting ELL for many years. We lost Ellyn in 2021 and we couldn't think of a better way to keep honoring her legacy than to dedicate this year's event to her again.
3pm - The event kicks off with the Ellyn Miller Mother's Home Run Derby on the Majors field, where 40 moms will compete to be crowned the champion. Come support 40 ELL Moms hoping to hit bombs on the Majors field for the Ellyn Miller Home Run Derby. Registration is FULL!
5pm - Second off, we will have the Majors Home Run Derby where eighteen 12 year olds will compete to see who can send the most balls over the fence. In addition to the prize for the derby, there will also be an award for whoever fundraises the most for the league. This year the derby is going to fundraise for the league to get new scoreboards- ($15k each). Last year, through the community’s generous donations, we were able to raise enough money to replace our Majors (and half of Pony field) bleachers and all backstops on each field. Thank you!! 100% of your donation is tax deductible and will go to fund these renovations.
6:30pm- DJ Renald will be spinning on the turntable on Colt field. Bring you blankets, chairs and picnic baskets to enjoy a fun night under the stars.
The Snack Stand will be open (We might even have a few specials available for the evening) and we will have the Jolly Sheep cotton candy vendor, too. We will also be selling ELL Merchandise by the Majors field so stop by to shop and support your community!
Last, around 8:30pm, we will have our annual fireworks display.
PARKING -
The ELL Parking lot fills up quickly on fireworks night. We also have the home run derby on the majors field so anyone parking behind that field is cautioned because there will be a lot of home runs hit into that portion of the parking lot. Also, there will be NO PARKING past the Batting Cages between the Farm and Minors field after 3:30pm. Any car parked there will need to be towed because of the fire safety rules for the fireworks. Overflow parking will be in the Park & Ride on Hayvenhurst and in the surrounding neighborhoods.
