Encino Little League - Welcome to Spring 2023! Info & Updates

We are looking forward to kicking off another great Spring season with all of our ELL families. The Encino Little League Board has been hard at work making ELL as special as possible for your children and families. We have 800 kids playing ball this season and we are looking forward to getting back in action once this rain finally stops!

Snack Stand Hours
Our two Snack Stands (the small one behind the Minors back stop and the main snack stand behind the Majors back stop) will be open on game days, Monday - Thursday from 4:30-7:30pm and all day on Saturday from 8am-6pm including our famous grill). We will also have our fresh fruit stand back on Game Day Saturdays around the complex, too!

Recent Field & Complex Upgrades
Through your generous donations, you will notice that we have been able to make many upgrades to our complex for the community.

Go Dog 4k Streaming
We've installed 4k Go Dog Game Camera Services on each field so friends and family can watch your kids' games from anywhere! How to Register: Register at enc.godogsports.com, and then click REGISTER to create a free account on our streaming portal. During registration, you will need to enter our league’s passcode to access our games. Our league's Passcode is: ENC12023

Other Improvements and Upgrades In addition to re-seeding all of the fields with new grass and laying out new dirt on our infields, we have also:
·       upgraded our beautiful pitching bullpens
·       got new pitching mounds
·       installed new backstop pads behind our home plates
·       renovated dugout floors at all fields
·       repaired steps and landings at Majors, Minors, and Farm score booths
·       new A/C in the snack stand
·       new signage around the complex
·       upgraded wifi
·       BRAND NEW bathrooms!!
·       installed new bleachers on Majors (and part of Pony) – this is thanks to our recent fundraiser in memory of beloved ELL family member Ellyn Miller

We have made dozens of repairs, including electrical upgrades in the score booths throughout the complex to improve the safety of our facilities.   Lastly, we now have blue recycling bins throughout the facility so please encourage your kids to use them!

Sponsorship Opportunities
We have a wide variety of Sponsorship Opportunities available! Our brand new Go Dog Cameras and Live Feed offers the following options:
·       $2,500 - Sponsors information in the scrolling ticker at the bottom of the screen.
·       $5,000 - Sponsors information in the scrolling ticker at the bottom of the screen and an ad airing during the live feed of every game for AAA, Farm, Minors, and Majors.
·       $10,000 - Sponsors information in the scrolling ticker at the bottom of the screen and an ad airing during the live feed of every game for AAA, Farm, Minors, and Majors. Plus the main logo on the scoreboard of every game.

Don't forget, each team is asked to Fundraise $1,000 from local businesses or families to help offset the costs of running the league. If you know of anyone or would yourself, be interested in supporting your team and our league with a donation, please let your coaches know ASAP so we can get a banner made that will be up all year long. ELL Gives Back to the Community
Our Board Member, Shane Morris has spearheaded donation collections for Pitch In For Baseball & Softball, a national organization that collects gently used and/or new baseball & softball equipment for boys & girls around the US and world who can't afford equipment to play ball. We have a donation bin located by our Snack Stand so please bring any gently used or new baseball equipment you have laying around the house or in the garage to support a great cause! Items are collected throughout the year on an ongoing basis, so drop off any time. Any questions, please contact Shane at [email protected]

New! Baseball Community Resource Available to ELL Families this Spring: Clint McGill's Baseball Notes, Bulletproof Hitter and Bulletproof Parent
ELL is proud to offer two new online resources for the community: Bulletproof Hitter and Bulletproof Parent. Bulletproof Hitter is a resource for kids, parents and coaches to help players of all ages and abilities deal with the emotional challenges of baseball and to give them the tools to accept mistakes and become more confident on the field. Bulletproof Parent is tailored specifically for parents, offering advice on how to effectively talk to our kids before and after a game to help with fear, anxiety and disappointment. New! Coach Mentor Program
This program pairs interested coaches with veteran coaches to help them navigate the ins and outs of a season, from practice planning to game day and everything in between. If you have any questions about this new program, please email Shane Morris [email protected]

Board Position Needed - Treasurer
Our Executive Board Role of Treasurer will be available at the end of this season as our amazing Caryn Wernecke will be “graduating” from ELL as her son Matthew is 12 and a “Lifer” this season. We are actively seeking a new Treasurer so Caryn can begin transition and training the new board member.
